Projects.

Achieving results.

  • We are currently working with The Jockey Club on an environmental sustainability project. The project uses the pioneering software platform, Sandy, to measure carbon emissions, carbon sequestration and biodiversity on five pilot sites across the UK:

    - Newmarket Racecourses

    - Haydock Park

    - Market Rasen

    - The National Stud

    - Newmarket Gallops

Once the data is confirmed, The Jockey Club can use simulations in-built within the platform to evaluate the effectiveness of projects - enhancing sequestration and biodiversity and reducing emissions. This will not only improve environmentally sustainability but also assess management efficiencies.

  • We are continuing to work with Solihull-based commercial flooring company, FLR, to support biodiversity enhancement on a local regenerative farm. Working closely with both the farmer and the organisation, we have helped facilitate annual cover crop plantings and specialised habitat plantings - supporting soil health, wildlife and carbon sequestration.

  • We provided carbon credits for BASIS to offset the carbon footprint of their 2022 awards. These credits were produced in the UK, by a regenerative farmer through nature-friendly carbon removal projects.

  • As part of the Racing Foundation’s support for the horse racing industry, we developed a sustainability framework for a cross section of industry charities. The aim of the project was to highlight the key areas of sustainability which were the most relevant to the sector and to establish targets and action points for each charity to adopt.

  • We worked with YourGreen to organise free wildflower seed pack donations to 50 schools across the county of Shropshire. The project was a huge success and YourGreen was able to engage with local schools to encourage children to learn about pollinators, habitats and the importance of these wildflower species.

  • We worked closely with a local public authority, Waters Upton Parish Council, to provide free native wildflower seed packs to residents and members of the communities. The aim of the project was to create engagement with biodiversity enhancement across the area and raise awareness of the biodiversity crisis facing the UK.
